Sebayur Island, Komodo
Komodo Resort is an eco-friendly resort, set on a private island of Palau Sebayur in Southern Indonesia. This ultimate paradise is a dream destination, discovered on one of the adventures undertaken by two Italian friends, Stefano and Antonello who love exploring wild places, underwater marine life and watching sunrises. Located about 9 kms off the coast of popular Labuan Bajo, it offers unlimited world-class reef diving and private tours to Komodo National Park.
Spread along a private beach, Komodo Resort has just 16 air-conditioned thatched bungalows. All are elegantly furnished with plush beds, polished wooden floors, glass-walled windows and large veranda's overlooking the sea. The in-house restaurant, set along the beach serves a fusion of traditional Javanese and International cuisine. Since the resort is owned by Italians, you can expect multi-course Italian dishes served in the evenings or you can opt for Indonesian cuisine.
The highlight of your stay at the Komodo Resort is diving in some of the most remote locations within the Indonesian archipelago. The resort has two large dive boats from which diving is conducted every morning. Private diving trips for extreme divers or for documentary purposes can also be arranged. On land adventures include visiting Rinca Island, home to thousands of Komodo Dragons. Sightings are good and you can also enjoy a scenic trek on the island.

When to go Straddling the equator, Indonesia tends to have a fairly even climate year-round. Rather than four seasons, Indonesia has two – dry (between May to September) and wet (between October to April) – and there are no extremes of temperature between winter and summer. In most parts of Indonesia, the wet season falls between October and April and the dry season between May and September. December and January see Bali at its most humid and rain tends to come in sudden tropical downpours, but it can also rain for more prolonged periods.
