The Upper House is a contemporary luxury hotel, set within the upper floors of the Pacific Place in Hong Kong. Designed by a local Andre Fu, who’s spatial and interior design, inspired by Asian and Western influences is displayed in a play on geometry, textures and shades. There are elements of diversity in materials, including bamboo, solid ash flooring, natural timber, shoji glass, and lacquered paper panels. The result – an oasis of tranquillity amidst the hectic pace of Hong Kong.
Housed within Pacific Place, an upscale shopping destination, The Upper House has 117 Studios, the smallest measuring 68 sqm. Spacious bathrooms have a walk-in rain shower and a deep soaking tub angled to allow spectacular views of Victoria Harbour or The Peak. Situated on the panoramic forty-ninth floor lounge, Café Gray Deluxe, by Michelin star chef Gray showcases his unique twist on European classics and signature dishes from a lifetime leading the very finest kitchens.
Those looking for greater seclusion can retire to The Lawn on the 6th floor, where every Saturday and Sunday morning free yoga classes are held. Shoppers don’t have to travel far, The Upper House is perched above the vast Pacific Place mall, home to an array of upscale designer boutiques, as well as a cinema and restaurants. Alongside is the local favourite Shanghai Tang for fashion and accessories, and where you can score bargains at accessible high-street labels.
Stay The Upper House features 117 Studios, including 21 Suites and two Penthouses. All rooms are spacious with the lead-in Studio 70 starting at 68 sqm and have a simple yet modern style. The décor is very calming with wood panelling and beige and earth tones. Each room has a walk-in wardrobes and large bathrooms with roomy rain showers and giant tubs, complete with TV. Room amenities include an iPod Touch, wine fridge, espresso machine, yoga mat and Ren toiletries.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Upper House and cots and extra beds are available free of charge. Babysitting service can be arranged, upon request.
Dine The Upper House is home to Café Gray Deluxe, a modern grand café featuring the culinary creations of Chef Gray Kunz. This modern venue offering wonderful views of Victoria Harbour is a Hong Kong institution where you may see sharp-suited financiers. While, the 14-metre-long marble bar at the Café Gray Deluxe Bar and Lounge, alongside the restaurant, make this a showy outpost of the Upper House. A chilled-out spot for relaxing with a drink or snack? Go for the gorgeous Skylounge.
Relax Facilities at the Upper House include two bicycles to explore the surrounds. Every Saturday and Sunday morning, the hotel offers complimentary morning yoga sessions with Wayne Yeh, the local Yoga Master. For fitness fanatics, there is a gym fully equipped with Precor and Keiser machines and equipment.
Experience The Upper House is situated close to Hong Kong’s most famous and spectacular sights. Take the century-old Peak Tram up the mountain which offers a stunning panorama of Victoria Harbour and the city below. Popular attractions include the Peak Tower and Madame Tussaud. Nearby is the Hong Kong Park with a 3.5-kilometre Peak Circle Walk. To the west is Man Mo Temple, a splendid example of Chinese cultural heritage in Hong Kong.

Location The Upper House is located in Pacific Place, in the city centre. A few minutes' drive away is the Victoria Peak tram station, Lan Kwai Fong, Hollywood Road, the Star Ferry and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Getting there 12-hour international flight to Hong Kong International Airport. The Upper House is 40-minutes from the Airport.
When to go Hong Kong has a tropical climate and can be visited year round. October to April are the driest months although December to February are cooler. May to September is hot, humid with the most rainfall during these months.
