The Ritz Carlton Chengdu is a luxurious hotel, set in the heart of Chengdu, in southwestern China's Sichuan province. Offering opulent accommodation, exceptional service and rooftop dining, the hotel embraces the Chengdu teahouse culture in refined, yet noticeable ways. Situated near the Tianfu Square in the business district, this urban retreat is strategically positioned within minutes of cultural sites, historic teahouses, luxury shopping and business hubs.
Situated on the former site of an imperial palace, Ritz Carlton Chengdu is home to 353 sky-high guest rooms that are among the largest in the city, starting from 50 sqm. Each room feels like a contemporary interpretation of a traditional courtyard residence, with wood details and Chinese artwork, as well as several types of local tea available. Guests in the Club Room enjoy access to the dedicated club lounge, complimentary city transportation and around-the-clock butler services.
There are varied dining options at The Ritz Carlton Chengdu which serve an array of western and local Chinese dishes. Situated on the 23rd floor is an intimate spa with 10 treatment rooms and 25-metre-long indoor swimming pool with underwater music. Outside of the hotel, explore China’s rural beauty in Jiuzhai Valley National Park, Mount Qingcheng, or the Chengdu panda base. The hotel also operates a private tea estate, southeast of Chengdu, where you can arrange a private visit.

When to go Chengdu weather is mild and humid all year round, featuring four clear-cut seasons – long and warm spring, short and sultry summer, cool and rainy autumn, cold and foggy winter. The distinctive characteristic of Chengdu weather is foggy and humid, so there are fewer hours of sunlight per day, and the summer is hotter and the winter is colder than the temperature shows. The rainy season is usually in July and August, with occasional storms. Thus, the best time to visit Chengdu is March to June and September to November.
