DAY 1

Colombo

Arrive in the beautiful island nation of Sri Lanka and be whisked away to Kotugoda, a serene town a short drive from the airport. Your first stop is The Wallawwa, a colonial-style bungalow offering a blend of luxury and historical charm. Spend your day exploring the nearby Muthurajawela Wetlands, a unique coastal ecosystem teeming with life. This biologically diverse area is home to a variety of mangroves, medicinal plants, birds, butterflies, and fish, some endemic to Sri Lanka, making it a vibrant start to your journey.

DAY 2

Kotugoda

Begin your day with a nourishing breakfast at The Wallawwa. Today is dedicated to acclimatizing to the tranquil surroundings of Kotugoda. Wander through the hotel’s private gardens, where you may encounter crocodiles, monitor lizards, and Sri Lanka’s largest snake, the Python. DAY 3

Sigiriya

Embark on a journey to Sigiriya, located 3.5 hours away in Sri Lanka's North Central province. En route, visit the ancient monastery of Ritigala, absorbing the rich cultural tapestry and historical narratives of the area, including references to the great Hindu epic, the Ramayana. The UNESCO-listed Sigiriya Rock Fortress awaits, with its royal gardens and captivating frescoes.
