Anantara Peace Haven is a five-star luxury beach resort, set along the golden stretch of Sri Lanka’s southernmost coastline near Tangalle. Arranged over a series of terraces, the design is modern and tropical but there is no mistaking, this a chain hotel, albeit a luxurious one. However, it enjoys an unparalleled location, close to Tangalle Lighthouse and Parewella Natural Swimming Area and is within the vicinity of Hummanaya Blow Hole and Rekawa Turtle Conservation Project.
Nestled within 21 acres of lush tropical grounds, the Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort has 152 uniquely designed rooms and villas, all with either a garden, ocean or beachside view. Six dining options showcase the finest international dishes with Sri Lankan flair, private wine cellar degustation dinners and tailored Dining by Design occasions. Leisure activities range from swimming pool to yoga to tennis and Anantara spa offering Ayurvedic treatments for ultimate relaxation.
Guests at Anantara Peace Haven spend their day meeting rescued elephants, seeing turtles on the beach or going whale watching, enriching their local experiences. The Anantara Surf Centre by Tropicsurf offers lessons in surfing and stand up paddle boarding in the nearby lagoon with courses for guests aged six and older. Tangalle provides a great base to visit the popular town of Galle as well as the famous national parks of Yala, Bundala and Uda Walawe providing unforgettable safaris.

When to go Sri Lanka is a year-round destination with consistently warm temperatures and lots of sunshine. There are two monsoon seasons but they only bring rain to the west and south-west coasts from May to September; and the east coast and northern region between October and February. The rest of the year is sunny and dry but the months of December to April are probably the best time to visit. Colombo and the low-lying coastal regions have an average temperature of 27°C.
