Style 

The Hotel by the Red Canal has only 24 rooms and suites. The colonial style building is made up of three floors housing accommodation of four types, each named after a major ethnic group in multi-cultural Myanmar namely; Chin, Kachin, Rakhine and Shan. The Chin and Shan Rooms face feature private balconies overlooking the beautiful hotel surrounds and the small stream that flows through the resort. The Kachin and the spacious Rakhine rooms are at the rear of the hotel, some with an outdoor shower. 

ChildCare 

Children are welcome to stay at the Hotel by the Red Canal, but there are no specific facilities available. Babysitting service can be arranged, on request.

Dine 

The Hotel by the Red Canal has one restaurant, “The Spice Garden” which offers an outstanding selection of Myanmar and Indian cuisine; they also offer a quality menu with a continental focus. In the evening head towards the Canopy Bar to enjoy a pre-dinner sundowner. Happy Hour is a very welcome feature when returning from a busy day's sightseeing. For change of place or taste, there are some good restaurants within walking distance.

Relax 

The Prana Spa at the Hotel by the Red Canal, is a private and exclusive sanctuary for a therapeutic experience. The interior design of the Spa is inspired by traditional construction methods of rural villages in Myanmar. Running water features, rattan fixtures and terracotta tiles combine to give this retreat – which houses just 2 individually designed treatment rooms – a rustic and earthy feel. Be sure to taste the local delicacy Bein Mont, a pancake made of rice flour, palm sugar, coconut chips, and peanuts, garnished with poppy seeds.
