The Hotel-Kalaw Hill Lodge is a boutique farmhouse, located about a 20-minute drive south from Kalaw in Southern Myanmar. Set within 30 acres of land, there are just 32 rooms set in two-storey, thatched houses with a balcony or terrace overlooking the farmland and mountains beyond. Inside the décor is contemporary in style with cosy wood-burning fireplace and modern ensuite bathrooms. The emphasis here is on taking in the farmland experience and trekking the surrounds.

Stay The Hotel - Kalaw Hill Lodge features just 32 rooms. All rooms are a spacious 35 square metres, and furnished with colonial-style furniture, weaved wall hangings, ceramic pots and a cosy wood-burning fireplace. The upstairs rooms have twin beds while rooms downstairs have double beds, verandas and larger bathrooms with twin vanities. Each room enjoys a private balcony or veranda to take in the breath-taking views of the Blue Mountains of the Shan Plateau.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Hotel - Kalaw Hill Lodge, but there are no specific facilities available for children.
Dine The in-house restaurant at the Hotel - Kalaw Hill Lodge serves delicious locally inspired meals and some Western dishes prepared with fresh locally sourced ingredients. The hotel has its own vegetable garden and organic farm, which supplies vegetables and milk to the kitchen. Meals are served in the dining room or in the shaded veranda of your room. There is also a well-stocked bar.
Relax Guests can unwind in the pool after a day out trekking or indulge in the Panchakarma Wellness Centre with massage rooms, jacuzzi and sauna. Guests can enjoy a range of natural Ayurvedic treatments including aromatherapy and steaming. The Hotel-Kalaw Hill Lodge also offers yoga and meditation classes held in a studio with ground-to-ceiling glass-panelled doors, overlooking the lush green landscape and mountains.
Experience The Hotel-Kalaw Hill Lodge has a large farm where guests can experience a range of activities. These range from learning the technique of growing vegetables, working with buffalos and milking cows. Children will love feeding friendly cows, goats and chickens or enjoy a ride on an Oxen Cart. Guests are also invited to plant trees and the hotel staff ensures that they are well properly looked after. In the surrounds are the great outdoors for mountain biking, bird watching, golf and trekking.

Location Kalaw is located in southern Shan State and links very easily with a visit to Inle Lake.
Getting there Fly to Heho Airport followed by a 2-hour drive.
When to go The best time to visit Burma is during the dry season from November to April. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March, and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.
