Spanish for ‘Home by the sea’, Casa del Mar’s philosophy is to create unique experiences around individual guests, providing them with a tranquil hideaway. The Spanish-themed Casa del Mar Resort has 34 rooms, all facing the sea. These are available in four categories; the Sea Front and Pool View rooms are on the ground floor of the two-storey property and come with a private terrace. The spacious Junior and Deluxe suites are on the first floor, and come with private balconies. Modern amenities include air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV and a mini bar.

Casa del Mar has two romantic beachfront restaurants. La Sal, that is lit at night by tall candles and flares, combines the best of Asian and Western cuisine. It has a cigar and wine cellar that is home to more than 100 New and Old-World wines. Relax at the lagoon pool and Jacuzzi, or at the Satkara spa, located on the quieter end of the beach. Leisure options in the surrounds include snorkelling, scuba diving, jungle walks and bird watching.

Stay Casa Del Mar, Langkawi has 34 rooms, all facing the sea. This boutique accommodation is villa style and on the quieter end of the beach. Seaview Rooms located on the upper floor, have a balcony while Studio Suites have a private courtyard furnished with a sofa bed. Junior Suite have two sea-facing balconies and the spacious Deluxe Suites, come with a furnished lounge and separate seating area. 


ChildCare Children above 16 years are welcome to stay at the Casa Del Mar, Langkawi. Casa Del Mar caters mostly for couples or adult family groups. 


Dine Enjoy a real gastronomic experience at the Casa Del Mar’s La Sal Restaurant, that serves innovative Mediterranean cuisine, seafood BBQ and Asian specialities. Breakfast is in lovely outdoor surroundings, on the pool patio. Day meals can be had indoors designed like a Californian winery or al fresco at the poolside or beachside. One night we had candle-lit dinner at La Luna; served on the beach, in time to view the wonderful sunset. 


Relax Activities on offer at the Casa Del Mar, Langkawi include boat trips, jet skiing, snorkelling. There is a gym, free bikes to use and a spa. The pool is great and refreshing after a hot day around the beach. There are plenty of beach lounges, so you don't have to put down towels to reserve. Casa Del Mar caters mostly for couples or adult family groups so there are no children running about dive bombing in the pool. 


Experience The Langkawi archipelago is a cluster of 99 small islands surrounding the main island which keeps it well protected from large swells. This makes Langkawi an ideal destination for spending a relaxing day cruising, fishing, island hopping or taking your partner on a romantic Castaway Picnic on a deserted island beach. Casa Del Mar can organise tours to the surrounding islands with habitats rich in wildlife and flora making it a perfect adventure for nature lovers.

Getting There One can get to Langkawi by plane. Flying time to Langkawi is 55-minutes from Kuala Lumpur airport, 30-minutes from Penang Airport, and 90-minutes from Singapore Changi International Airport. Fast air-conditioned boats are also available from Kuala Perlis (1hr and 15 mins) and Penang (2hr and 45 mins). Casa Del Mar, Langkawi is a 15-20-minute car ride from Langkawi International Airport.


When to go The weather in Langkawi is consistently hot and humid all-year-round, with occasional rainfall and cloudy skies. The best time to travel to Langkawi is from mid-November until mid-April, during which time there is very little rain. The mid-season is from mid-April until August when the mornings can be sunny, but the afternoons can be overcast. Langkawi experiences heavy rainfall due to monsoon winds between the months of September and October.
