The accommodation at the Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi includes 136 suites. The lead in category is the Damai suite, with open plan bathrooms, rain showers and double vanity units. These standard rooms start at 50 sqm and come with a small balcony. The upgrades are similarly larger with a separate lounge or a living area. The expansive Anjung Suite is the most luxurious with view of the sea, pool, and garden, covering 100 sqm.
Tanjung Rhu Resort has two restaurants with fine dining, Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. There are two large and beautifully landscaped freshwater swimming pools, a fully equipped gym and Spa. A selection of complimentary water sports are also available. In the surrounds is an unusual ecosystem, with a vast mangrove forest. Boat excursions take 2-hour to reach, where you can encounter wildlife, such as birds and small mammals, plus diverse flora.

Stay Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi has 136 suites. The entry level Damai suite, with open plan bathrooms start at 50 sqm and come with a small balcony. Cahaya Suite, an upgrade has a separate lounge. The Bayu Senja Suite has oversized windows in the bedroom for stunning views of the sea while Bayu Suria have an added luxury of a separate living area and two balconies. The expansive Anjung Suite is the most luxurious with view of the sea, pool, and garden.
ChildCare Children are welcome to stay at the Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi, but there are no specialist facilities available. However, babysitting can be arranged, if requested.
Dine The Rhu is Tanjung Rhu’s signature restaurant that specialises in a fusion cuisine. Dress code is smart casual and the Chef’s Table has an Asian-themed menu of modern contemporary cuisines. Saffron serves Mediterranean specialties and offers both indoor and outdoor dining making it the perfect place to watch the sunset. Sands, the quaint outdoor restaurant serves Asian and international cuisines. And, the Sands Pool serves light snacks and drinks while you relax at the swimming pool.
Relax There are three pools at Tanjung Rhu; one for adults and the other 2 for kids and parents. The entire resort which is spread over a large area is water prominent with both saltwater and freshwater pools to swim in. The Tanjung Rhu spa has 12 treatment villas, set in open-air enclaves with their own private garden, complete with an outdoor steam room, sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi. Up above the gym is the open-air yoga area.
Experience The surrounds around the Tanjung Rhu Resort is home to one of Malaysia’s oldest mangrove forest. Take a 2-hour boat ride into its heart, where you will encounter wildlife, such as birds and small mammals, plus diverse flora. You can also get up-close to Langkawi’s limestone caves, which geological masterpieces formed over millions of years ago. Alternatively, take a slow cruise around the island on a luxury yacht at sunset. You can also enjoy a romantic dinner for 2 on board.

Getting There One can get to Langkawi by plane. Flying time to Langkawi is 55-minutes from Kuala Lumpur airport, 30-minutes from Penang Airport, and 90-minutes from Singapore Changi International Airport. Fast air-conditioned boats are also available from Kuala Perlis (1hr and 15 mins) and Penang (2hr and 45 mins). Tanjung Rhu Resort is a 15-minute car ride from Langkawi International Airport.
When to go The weather in Langkawi is consistently hot and humid all-year-round, with occasional rainfall and cloudy skies. The best time to travel to Langkawi is from mid-November until mid-April, during which time there is very little rain. The mid-season is from mid-April until August when the mornings can be sunny, but the afternoons can be overcast. Langkawi experiences heavy rainfall due to monsoon winds between the months of September and October.
