Many of the villas have either sea views or direct access to the beach and some have two- to three-bedrooms, perfect for families or group of friends. There are plenty of dining options serving a range of Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisines, as well as an adults-only open-air lounge, to enjoy wine or cocktails.
Three large swimming pools ensure there is space for everyone to relax or indulge in the gorgeous overwater spa. The Ritz Carlton Langkawi also has a number of complimentary in-resort activities, including yoga and mocktail mixology classes. For younger guests, there is a good Ritz Kids Club and exciting activities such as treasure hunts. For adventure seekers there are mangrove tours, a cable car and zip-line trail, and colourful night markets, all within 10-15 mins driving distance.

Full-size glass windows bring in suffused light along with its leafy outdoors, matching the bathrooms' green-veined marble vanities and deep baths. The enormous villas with similar décor boast private pools and sundecks with a choice of forest, beach or oceanfront settings.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at The Ritz Carlton Langkawi. For families or groups of friends, Villa Kenari has two bedrooms, and Villa Mutiara has three bedrooms. Both of these villas are tucked away at the far end of the resort to offer plenty of privacy. There is also a Ritz Kids Club which has its own kids pool, and specially designed activities such as treasure hunts.
Dine Three distinct dining venues at The Ritz Carlton Langkawi offer an irresistible selection of Malaysian fare that includes International, Malay, Indian and Chinese flavours. The fine dining Hai Yan sits an over-water restaurant features authentic Cantonese cuisine. The outdoor Beach Grill & Bar offers western favourites and cocktails along the beach, while the adults-only Horizon, serves Thai plates, and fine wines on a rock-top setting overlooking the water.
Relax Facilities at The Ritz Carlton Langkawi include three swimming pools, including the beachfront pool, kids pool and adults-only infinity pool. There is also a gorgeous one-of-a-kind spa, complete with a Hammam and vitality pools, housed in cocoon-shaped pavilions inspired by "bubu" fish traps. Other facilities include yoga classes, batik painting, soap making and cooking classes, some of which are complimentary, while others are chargeable.

Location The 99 islands of the Langkawi archipelago lie some 20 miles off the northwest coast of Malaysia, in the Andaman Sea.
Getting there Flying time to Langkawi is 55-minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, 30-minutes from Penang Airport, and approximately 90-minutes from Singapore Changi International Airport. The Ritz Carlton Langkawi is only 10 minutes by road from the airport.
When to go Langkawi has a coastal tropical climate year round, with temperatures ranging from 23°C in the early parts of the year to 34°C towards the end of the year. The wet monsoon season is from April to October making the best time to visit from November to March. The rain starts falling the whole month of June. If you are wary of crowd the try to avoid the Malaysian school holidays as the island becomes very busy during these periods.
