The accommodation in Luang Say Residence, is spread out within five pavilions holding 20 pioneer suites and the main residence comprising four Explorator suites. Each room has a beautiful veranda or balcony with a view of the glorious gardens, so you don't feel locked up and the decor and design is very tasteful and interesting. All the suites are generously-sized and decorated in colonial style with contemporary amenities, air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
Facilities in the Luang Say Residence include a swimming pool, a welcoming respite after a day exploring the town. The fine dining La Belle Epoque restaurant offers signature Laotian dishes as well as other southeast Asian delights. Meals can be enjoyed either al fresco or inside the elegantly designed restaurant. The traditional 1861 Bar, has a distinctive heritage feel and brings back the old-world charm. In the walking distance is Luang Prabang with 33 exquisite temples and the Royal Palace.

Stay The Luang Say Residence has 24 Suites in colonial style buildings. These are in two types; Pioneer Suites and Explorator Suites, the latter offering more living space. Each Pavilion hosts four Suites; ground floor rooms offer views of the garden, whereas those on first floor provide great mountain views. Explorator Suites are located on the upper floor of the main Luang Say Residence. Each suite offers ample living space that includes a lounge area with a divan and open onto their own private, garden view terraces.
ChildCare Children are welcome at Luang Say Residence but there are no specific facilities are available. However, babysitting service can be arranged on request.
Dine The La Belle Epoque is Luang Say’s signature restaurant, overlooking the tropical gardens, offering South East Asian cuisine. While the atmospheric 1861 Bar, feels like a traditional colonial cafe. Original colonial era furnishings include studded leather sofas, marble tables, and traditional bistro chairs. During cooler months, a marble fireplace warms 1861, while a modest library corner adds an intimate ambience. Fine wines come from around the world, while a range of enticing cocktails.
Relax Facilities at the Luang Say Residence include an infinity swimming pool is breath-taking and designed to appear as if set deep in the jungle. No garish bright turquoise here. The cushioned sun beds are shaded with replica umbrellas once used when explorers rode elephants through the Laotian hills. Surrounded by tropical foliage and a friendly service, it was a refuge from afternoon heat.
Experience Luang Say Residence is located close to the historical town of Luang Prabang, with much to do and see. The city is well known for its numerous temples and monasteries. Every morning, hundreds of monks from the various monasteries walk through the streets collecting alms. We strongly recommend combining your stay with a cruise on the Mekong and also stay overnight at the Luang Say lodge further up the river.
Location Luang Say Residence is ideally located within easy reach of the main heritage attractions. It is just 5-minutes from downtown.
Getting There Take an international flight to Luang Prabang. Lao Airlines is the national carrier and monopolises the majority of flights in and out of the country, though many code-shares with other air carriers. Luang Say Residence is just 10 mins drive from the Luang Prabang International Airport.
When to go The climate in Luang Prabang remains tropical. The best time to visit is in the months between November and mid-March. During these months, the days are pleasant and the nights are chilly. Thereafter the temperature begins to rise and March to May gets very hot. The monsoon arrives in the month of April and peak in August but continues until mid-October. Travel is difficult during these months. Avoid travelling during March-April and August.
