Kiridara is a boutique hotel, located just outside the historic Luang Prabang City Centre. Set high on a hillside, this white and brown Swiss chalet-style hotel with terra cotta roofs, displays old-world charm and elegance. Being removed from the action, it has its distinct advantages. You are still within walking distance to the towns historical temples, markets and restaurants. And, yet in a peaceful place where you can take things slowly, even slower than in the town where life seems to stop.
The 24-rooms in Kiridara Hotel are set amidst sweet-scented Champa trees with an awe-inspiring backdrop of Mount Phou Si. The spacious deluxe suites have a full deck overlooking the pool and mountains beyond. Rich teak wood floors and local artwork set the tone with modern amenities; mood lighting, a huge bathroom and a large black granite tub. Kiridara also has several villa residences away from the main property offering another level of comfort and accommodation.
Dining at the Kiridara Hotel is mainly at the Phu Doi Restaurant that serves a fusion of Laotian and French inspired cuisine. Meals can be had in the dining hall or al fresco on the open-air Deck. There is also a Poolside Bar overlooking the cliffside infinity-edge pool. The traditional Laotian spa overlooking Mount Phou Si is a good place to relax after a long day visiting temples. Alternatively, try hotel bar’s signature cocktails like lychee martinis.
