Stay 

Hoshinoya Fuji features just 40 stylish cabins. Scattered across the hillside like giant concrete periscopes, they are crafted to blend into the natural environment. Huge picture windows draw you outside with panoramic views of Lake Kawaguchi, backed by the snow-capped Mt Fuji, Japan's tallest peak. The interiors have modern Japanese design; heated flooring, a private porch with a woodburner, electric blankets, and supremely comfortable beds with spacious bathrooms.

ChildCare 

Families with children are welcome to stay at the Hoshinoya Fuji but there are no specific facilities available for younger children. Please note that the hotel has designed with couples and families with older children in mind. 

Dine 

Dining at the Hoshinoya Fuji is a memorable experience. Breakfast is delivered to cabins in a wooden box and includes freshly-baked breads, Spanish omelettes, yoghurts, local juices and jams or you can have it cooked outdoors in the Cloud Terrace. Dinner is in the vaulted wooden restaurant, where chef Yuji Kanai serves Japanese cuisine prepared with wild deer and boar caught by local hunters. Alternatively, eat an eight-course delicious meal prepared in a Dutch oven next to your table.

Relax 

There is plenty to keep you busy at the Hoshinoya Fuji. You can take lessons on how to brew a refreshing cup of coffee or pizza making, to walks through Aokigahara Forest; a national park also known as the ‘Sea of Trees’.

Experience 

Activities at the Hoshinoya Fuji includes canoeing on Lake Kawaguchi: one of the Fuji Five Lakes that Hoshinoya Fuji overlooks. During the day, you can schedule a ride in the forest on horseback. Just 15 minutes from the hotel, you will find yourself deep in the wilds of nature, until you reach the viewpoint at Mount Sankodai, offering stunning panoramic views.
