Hakuchozan: Luxury Chalet in Niseko

The Hakuchozan is a luxury chalet, set in the heart of Hirafu Village in Niseko on Hokkaido Island in Japan. This is a dream project of Michael Chen, who once headed one of the largest hospitality businesses in the world. His passion and understanding for the need of discerning travellers was reincarnated into physical form by the local designer Keith Rodgers of Taiga Projects. As a result, Hakuchozan has been nominated for the 2017 Japan’s Best Ski Chalet.

Accommodating up to 16 guests, Hakuchozan chalet features VIP service from chauffeuring guests via helicopter to serving hot coffee mid-slope. There are seven stunning bedrooms with a wealth of features designed to deliver an exceptional holiday experience. Facilities include a 'Man-Cave' bar and a games room along with a large living room with wood-burning fireplace. An outdoor terrace has a BBQ where guests can sample the Hakuchozan Wagyu steak from the owner's signature recipe.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast then let the private driver whisk you to whichever ski lift or ski resort you have decided on that morning. Collected by the driver after your day's skiing an ideal way to relax is to sit back in the outdoor jacuzzi, drink in hand, soaking in the amazing views from Mount Yotei. Niseko also has a great restaurant scene; from Michelin Star to quaint family run cafes offering traditional izakaya, sukiyaki, udon and shabu-shabu amongst its delights.
