Aspect Niseko: Luxury Ski Retreat in Japan

Aspect Niseko is a collection of luxury apartments set in central Hirafu in Niseko, on Japan’s northern Hokkaido Island. Situated on the edge of the famed 'Millionaires' Row', it occupies a prime position for incredible views of Mt. Yotei, especially from the apartments on the higher floors. Ideal for those who like the independence of staying in a fully equipped apartment, these come with added benefits of a ski valet, concierge service and shuttle bus to ensure maximum time on the slopes.

Accommodation at the Aspect Niseko is in the form of a two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, some of which can be combined to create a five-bedroom unit, ideal for two families or groups of friends. Designed by renowned architect Riccardo Tossani, the apartments display a mix of European and Japanese décor. Each are minimalist in design and come with spacious bedrooms, open plan kitchen with dining area, living room with a fireplace and jacket warming rooms.

Niseko is the best ski resort on Hokkaido Island and comprises of interlinked ski resorts; Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and An'nupuri. The Niseko All Mountain Pass provides access to all of the above mentioned four zones and the Niseko United Shuttle service. The resort has an incredible off-piste terrain, as well as groomed runs for all levels. Although skiing and snowboarding are most popular, guests can also visit local hot springs, take horse rides or go river rafting.

Stay Aspect Niseko offers 11 two- and three-bedroom apartments. All are spacious and come with king-size beds, living areas and fully equipped kitchens. Each apartment has expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and either a terrace or a balcony showcasing views of Mt. Yotei. Bathrooms features generous bathing areas, full-function Japanese “washlet” toilet/bidets, with a Japanese-style bath and rain shower spilling with natural light.

ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Aspect Niseko but there are no particular facilities available for children. Baby cots, high chairs and babysitting is available upon request - all for a supplement.

Dine There is a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary utensils and equipment including, fridge and dishwasher. The location of Aspect Niseko means it is easy to walk to the hub of restaurants, bars, shops and onsens. There is also a daytime concierge service who can be contacted for any help. 

Relax Famed for 'champagne powder' Niseko has an excellent snow record and is great for backcountry or off-piste skiing. The Niseko All Mountain Pass provides access to all four resorts in Niseko. Other activities on offer in Niseko include snowmobiling, snow rafting, snow shoeing, Cat skiing, back country tours and soaking in the mineral rich hot spring waters in the traditional onsens.

Experience Niseko is a town on Japan’s northern Hokkaido Island, near the dormant volcano of Mt. Yotei. Aspect Niseko is centrally located to get to major ski centres that occupy the slopes of Mt. Niseko-Annupuri. In the surrounds are hot springs or onsen including that of Yukichichibu and Kogane. During summer, the Shiribetsu River is known for its white-water rapids. The area also features several golf courses against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks.

Location Aspect is located in Middle Hirafu in Grand Hirafu, one of the four resorts in Niseko in Hokkaido.

Getting there Middle Hirafu is well served by the New Chitose Airport, the largest commercial airport in Hokkaido, operating a large number of both domestic and international flights on a daily basis. From Chitose Airport to Middle Hirafu is approximately 2.5 hours and will vary depending on weather conditions.

When to go The main ski season runs from the end of November through to Easter. January - April sees the highest snowfall and the lowest temperatures will be felt in February when it can reach -7 degrees.
