Evolve Back Coorg is a luxury resort, set on the Chikkana Halli Estate in India’s southwestern state of Kerala. Previously known as Orange County Coorg, this beautiful resort sits on a lush 300-acre plantation of coffee, just off the banks of the River Cauvery. Known as the heartland of Indian coffee, the hills of Coorg are spread with pepper, cloves, cardamom and other spices. Surrounded by rosewood, wild fig and jackfruit trees, the tranquil Evolve Back Coorg resort features 42 independent cottages. All are luxurious in style with terracotta tiled roofs, stone walls and a large veranda overlooking private pools. Inside, the décor is colonial in style; polished wooden or tiled floors with antique furniture and rich traditional fabrics. Plush beds are draped in fine cotton sheets and modern bathrooms have a bath and a shower with organic toiletries.
Dining options include a choice of three elegant restaurants at the Evolve Back Coorg including Peppercorn which serves delicious grilled dinner. Experiences include guided birdwatching and nature tour by walk or local boat through Dubare Reserve. Nearby, is Bylekuppe, the second largest Tibetan settlement outside Tibet with an impressive 40-foot high golden Buddha idol, best visited during their prayer sessions when over 400 monks congregate to chant in unison.

Location Orange County resort is nestled in the Western Ghats, perched at 800 meters above sea level and set amidst 200 acres of coffee and spice plantations. Located in Siddapura, Coorg at a distance of 235 kms from Bangalore.
Getting there Fly to Bangalore International Airport. Orange County is 270km from Bangalore.
When to go Isolated from much of India by the Western Ghats, the climate of Kerala & Karnataka is tropical. The best time to visit is from January through to April. Summer is hot and humid; the monsoon season arrives in early June and lasts till August. While September can be dry and humid. There can be a little rain in October and November, cooling off around December and lasting until February.
