RAAS Haveli is a luxury boutique hotel, which blends perfectly with the old walled city of Jodhpur. The architecture combines the traditional Rajput style with the new modern design, cleverly using the famous Jodhpur blue and the local red sandstone that blends nicely with the city.
The accommodations in RAAS Haveli surround a shaded courtyard with 39 sandstone-walled guest rooms. All the rooms are decorated an understated modern black and white design in boutique style, with traditional elements (latticed chandeliers) and hand-crafted Jodhpur red sandstone jhali (windows). The standard rooms either have Moghul-style gardens or dazzling views of the 15th-century Mehrangarh desert fort. The seven suites feature a separate sitting room and large balconies and can be shared by large group or families.
In a central courtyard is the RAAS Haveli are two restaurants and an expansive swimming pool. All-day Bandari serves an international menu in the cool indoor dining room that spills out to the poolside terrace. The rooftop Dari Khana, serves authentic Rajasthani fare. There is also a small Ila Spa, which offers a wide range of massages and treatments. The resort has a fleet of customised blue auto-rickshaws to ferry guests around town.

Stay The RAAS Haveli has 39 rooms and suites. Each of these rooms have the historic charm of the original Rajput residence and the simplicity of contemporary design. Garden Rooms, located on the ground floor, come with a private sit-out garden while the Luxury Rooms, located on upper floors have a private balcony with uninterrupted views of the Mehrangarh Fort. Duplex Suites, located in the modern block have a separate bedroom and living room. These have a separate shower, cast iron tubs and plush bath robes and can be shared by large group or families.
ChildCare Children are welcome to stay at the RAAS Haveli. There are Duplex Suites and inter-connecting rooms available for families. The hotel provides toys, painting materials and board games. Babysitting can be arranged, on request.
Dine The all-day dining, Baradari offers a range of local and international cuisine. The cuisine ranges from Thai flavours to Mediterranean-inspired dishes, to Rajasthan specialities. Darikhana, the alfresco restaurant perched on the first floor of RAAS Haveli, is the best location for evening meals, where you can see the illuminated fort above. The three-tiered Step Well Café above the real Step Well is the city’s favourite for its unique location, is an all-day café offering lunch, dinner and snacks.
Relax The world class Ila Spa at RAAS Haveli, is run by authentic British brand Ila. Renowned for their earth-to-skin ethical, environmental and sustainable practices, Ila-directly source wild harvested ingredients, many from India herself. Experience Located on a high hill, the 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort, is one of the largest and magnificent forts in Jodhpur. If interested, RAAS Haveli can organise a tour with an expert guide to include the 12th-century Jain temples and the exquisite Umaid Bhawan Palace, built in hand-chiselled sandstone as late as the 20th-century. For those interested in cultural exploration should visit a Bishnoi village, known for their love for the preservation of nature and wildlife.

Getting There A number of domestic airlines connect most cities including more remote regions. Jodpur has daily flights to and from Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Udaipur. The airport is a 20-minute drive from RAAS.
When to go Rajasthan, the desert state of India is largely hot but unlike the rest of India, has a much longer tourist season. Summer in Rajasthan extends from April to June and is the hottest season. Monsoon arrives in July and extends until September, is a good time to travel to Rajasthan, since it never rains there. Post monsoon, October to November and right through winter months of December to March are perfect for travelling through Rajasthan.
