Upon landing at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Sri Lanka, you will be warmly greeted by a representative who embodies the country’s renowned hospitality. After this warm reception, you'll be whisked away to your hotel in the charming seaside town of Negombo. The rest of your day is at leisure, allowing you to unwind after your journey and soak in the serene coastal ambiance. The park, located at an altitude of 2,100–2,300 metres, is a unique microclimatic zone teeming with biodiversity, including many endemic species. Return to your hotel for a well-earned rest before venturing to Dickoya to visit Christ Church Warleigh. Perched above the Castlereagh Reservoir, this charming Anglican church, built in 1878, features a stone exterior and colonial architecture. Transfer to Tangalle via Mulkirigala Rock Temple: After breakfast, head towards Tangalle on the southern coast, stopping at the Mulkirigala Rock Temple en route. This ancient site is perched on a towering 673-foot rock and features a series of seven caves housing exquisite reclining Buddha statues and intricate frescoes. Climb its 500 steps to admire the serene stupa and sweeping views from the summit. Continue your journey to Tangalle, where you’ll check into your accommodation and enjoy a peaceful evening.

During our travels, we were captivated by the contrast between the lush highlands, ancient cultural sites, and tranquil coastal towns. Exploring Sigiriya’s soaring rock fortress and Dambulla’s ancient cave temples evoked a deep connection to the country’s history and artistry. Meanwhile, witnessing the vibrant life of Sri Lankan villages and the serenity of tea plantations left us with a lasting impression of the island’s rich traditions and natural beauty.

This journey was crafted to share those transformative experiences with travellers seeking more than just a holiday. We wanted to create an itinerary that blends history, culture, and leisure, offering a holistic glimpse into Sri Lanka’s soul. From Horton Plains’ misty cliffs to Tangalle’s turtle hatchings, every detail of this tour reflects our passion for authentic and immersive travel experiences.
