Upon landing at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Sri Lanka, you will be warmly greeted by a representative who embodies the country’s renowned hospitality. After this warm reception, you'll be whisked away to your hotel in the charming seaside town of Negombo. The rest of your day is at leisure, allowing you to unwind after your journey and soak in the serene coastal ambiance. City Exploration: Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out to explore Colombo. Horton Plains Adventure and Christ Church Warleigh: Begin your day with an early breakfast and set out on a guided trek in Horton Plains National Park. This stunning highland reserve offers breathtaking views, including the iconic Baker's Falls and the dramatic World’s End—a sheer cliff with panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. The park, located at an altitude of 2,100–2,300 metres, is a unique microclimatic zone teeming with biodiversity, including many endemic species. Return to your hotel for a well-earned rest before venturing to Dickoya to visit Christ Church Warleigh. Perched above the Castlereagh Reservoir, this charming Anglican church, built in 1878, features a stone exterior and colonial architecture. Exploring Sigiriya’s soaring rock fortress and Dambulla’s ancient cave temples evoked a deep connection to the country’s history and artistry. Meanwhile, witnessing the vibrant life of Sri Lankan villages and the serenity of tea plantations left us with a lasting impression of the island’s rich traditions and natural beauty.
