The Leela Kovalam Beach is one of the largest luxury beach resorts near Trivandrum, set on a clifftop in Kovalam, overlooking the Arabian Sea. The property is near two long beaches, ideal for those looking for some beach time. Guests have access to the hotel’s small but private beach, which provides protected bathing with a shower facility and towels. You can also walk down to the Samudra beach or the famous, crescent-shaped, Light House Beach with shops and restaurants.
Built on a dramatic cliff top location, most rooms at The Leela Kovalam Beach have beautiful views over the sea. The suites are arranged in three wings; the Deluxe Club Wing offers excellent sea view rooms, located high up with a separate club lounge, ocean rim infinity swimming pool and contemporary designed rooms. The Beach View Wing offers sea-facing rooms designed in an ethnic Keralan theme while the Pavilion Wing has forty-two rooms and is located on the ground level.
Facilities at the Leela Kovalam Beach include a choice of two restaurants; the main restaurant with a wood-fire pizza oven and buffet and a Beach Restaurant. There is also a bar offering excellent views and a Pool lounge offering snacks. For relaxation there is a delightful swimming pool which opens out from the lobby on the top floor with exceptional sea views and a spa offering Ayurvedic and wellness treatments. For active guest, there are range of activities including tennis and yoga.

When to go Isolated from much of India by the Western Ghats, the climate of Kerala & Karnataka is tropical. The best time to visit is from January through to April. Summer is hot and humid; the monsoon season arrives in early June and lasts till August. While September can be dry and humid. There can be a little rain in October and November, cooling off around December and lasting until February.
