Peninsula Hong Kong is a prestigious luxury hotel in Hong Kong, set on Kowloon Island next to the Star Ferry terminal. Once known as the “Grand Lady of the Far East”, this legendary hotel consists of an historic 1920s building and a new 30 stories tower added in 1994. Refurbished in 2013 to its old glory, albeit with modern fitting and technology, this beautiful hotel is the embodiment of total luxury. Situated in Kowloon, it forms a perfect base to explore its wetlands and country parks.

Overlooking the Hong Kong harbour, Peninsula Hong Kong has 165 rooms in the original building and 135 rooms in The Tower. All are completely remodelled and feature luxurious Italian designer furniture and large picture windows. Modern high-tech conveniences include touchscreen LED wall panels, 3D LCD TVs, Sony Blu-ray players and tablets with controls for just about everything in the room. Some of the amenities included are an area-jogging map and Nespresso machine.

Dining options at the Peninsula Hong Kong include a wide choice of restaurants serving French, Cantonese and European cuisines. There is also a Swiss and a Japanese restaurant but Felix, on the top two floors is a big a draw for its glitz, glamour and views. Leisure facilities include an indoor pool with stunning views towards Hong Kong island and a spacious spa. In the surrounds is a large wetland reserve and Kam Shan Country Park, known for its large population of macaques.

Superior and Deluxe Suites, located in the original building have separate sitting/ dining areas, while rooms in the tower enjoy views of Hong Kong skyline.

Getting there 12-hour international flight to Hong Kong International Airport. The Peninsula is a 30-minute drive from the airport.

When to go Hong Kong has a tropical climate and can be visited year round. October to April are the driest months although December to February are cooler. May to September is hot, humid with the most rainfall during these months.
