Aiman Batang Ai Resort - Borneo's Riverside Retreat

Borneo, Malaysia

Aiman Batang Ai Resort & Retreat is located on the eastern end of Lake Batang Ai in Sarawak, Southern Borneo. Formerly known as the Batang Ai Longhouse Resort managed by Hilton, it is now under Planet Borneo Lodge Management. Built in the late 20th-century within Batang Ai National Park, it is a popular stop for travellers seeking a brief encounter with one of the world’s oldest rainforests and its indigenous Iban communities.

The isolated Aiman Batang Ai Resort & Retreat is accessed from Kuching, first by a road transfer to Batang Ai Jetty, and from there by boat to the resort, taking around 4 hours. The resort has 100 air-conditioned guest rooms in 11 indigenous style longhouses offering 3-star comforts. Situated on a wooded finger of land along the lake, there is plenty to do. Guests can explore with naturalist guides to spot wildlife, take canopy walk, a challenging hike to Smuggler’s Trail or go on fishing trips.
