Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa is an eco-friendly property, set above the Paro valley in typical Bhutanese architecture and style. Naksel is a community-based project in collaboration with the nearby Ngoba village whose agro-based economy focusses on apple orchards, rice paddies and potato fields. Surrounded by pine-forested mountains and stunning views of the snow-capped mountains, including Mt Jumolhari (7,300m), it offers a great base to relax and explore the valley.

Built in traditional architecture Naksel Boutique Hotel offers 38 guest rooms with modern facilities. All rooms have polished wooden floors, spread with hand-woven local carpets with comfortable sofas set near large traditional windows offering stunning views of the Paro valley. The main house contains the main communal areas such as the restaurant and bar, and also some of the rooms. The rest of the rooms are housed in four cottages in the hotel grounds.

The in-house Olive Restaurant at the Naksel Boutique Hotel serves a range of Bhutanese, Indian and Western cuisine. Meals are generally served buffet style with options for an a la carte menu. There is also Chabchu Bar serving a range of local and international beverages and Coffee House that is open all day. In the surrounds are many options for trekking to the remote monasteries including the famous Taksang Gompa. Back at the hotel, you can relax in the Menchu Himalayan Herbal Spa.

Stay Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa features just 38 guest rooms. All rooms have Bhutanese architecture with wooden floors, large glass windows offering stunning views of the surrounding forested mountains and furnished with hand crafted furniture. These are grouped in four styles, depending on size and views of the valley but all have Swedish under floor heating, LED lighting, and solar powered water heaters. Modern amenities include Wi-Fi, LCD TVs, bathrooms with bathtub.

ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay in Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa. There are no specific facilities available but the hotel and restaurants are flexible in food menu and timings for children. Also, there is are lots of opens spaces for children to play and Bhutan is a safe country for children.

Dine ‘Olive’, the in-house restaurant at Naksel Boutique Hotel offers a wide variety of cuisine, from local Bhutanese specialties and Indian favourites to Asian infused dishes and some western favourites. The Chabchu bar has fine selection of local and international beverages but you are likely to spend most of your time near a fire place in the Coffee House, with unrestrained views of Jumolhari offering fresh espresso, homemade pastries and Indian Chai.

Relax The Menchu Himalayan Herbal Spa at the Naksel Boutique Hotel offers a variety of treatments including an array of massages – the perfect relaxation place after trekking up to Tiger's Nest! It is equipped with trained masseuses who use a range of Himalayan Herbal products to nourish, re-energize and relax the body. You can request for Swedish massage, Thai massage or a 4 hand massages or the traditional hot-stone bath.

Experience Guests at the Naksel Boutique Hotel will have stunning views of the Paro valley from their rooms but short walks in the surrounds will provide a better perspective. Drive up to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, providing great vistas. Near the town visit the impressive five-storey high, whitewashed Paro Dzong, then trek to the 8th-century Taksang Gompa or Tiger's Nest monastery. One day visit a local village to view Bhutan's national sport of archery.
 


 

Location Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa is a simple, yet charming hotel located about ten minutes above the Paro Valley in Bhutan, blending Bhutanese architecture with modern facilities.

When to go In the western, central and eastern Bhutan you will mostly experience cold European-like weather. Winter lasts here from November to March. The Monsoon occurs between June and August when the temperature is normally between 8° and 21°C. October and November are arguably the best months, when the monsoon has passed and the skies are clear. The spring months of March, April and May are best for the flora, but it can be stormy as the monsoon builds up for July-September.
