The Quay Boutique Hotel is the 4-star property that overlooks the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers in Phnom Penh. Contemporary in design and boutique, The Quay is equipped with cutting-edge interiors such as Minotti beds and Arne Jacobsen chairs. It has just 16-rooms with two types; the Standard that do not have windows and the Panoramic. We prefer the Panorama Suites that are twice the size and have a private balcony with stunning views onto the river. The facilities include a plenty of wardrobe space, light-blocking curtains and an enormous bathroom.
The hotel has a stylish Chow restaurant specialising in delicious Southeast Asian dishes, and there is a rooftop bar overlooking the river. In the surrounds of The Quay, are the city’s attractions that can be visited on an organised tour or independently.

The lead in Standard rooms have no balcony, but with small glass window to allow natural light to fill the room. These Panoramic Suites are twice the size and have large river view balcony. All rooms have lustrous Cambodian silk textiles, original art works and mod cons. Guests can also indulge in pampering spa treatments or relax at the rooftop spa pool.
ChildCare Children are welcome to stay at The Quay Boutique Hotel, this is not really a great place for kids as there are no special facilities. Although the hotel is set up for adults, cots, babysitting and extra beds are available on request.
Dine The Quay’s street level restaurant and coffee shop serves all day breakfast. They bring it all up on a trolley and wheel it in. It’s also home to the stylish Chow restaurant specialising in delicious Southeast Asian dishes. For the evening time, there is no better place to be than the Roof Top Terrace bar overlooking the river. A small pool just close to the bar ensures you don’t have to reach out far for a re-fill.
Experience Phnom Penh is known for its cultural and historical sites but exploring these is only part of the experience. The graceful tree-lined boulevards and riverfront promenades are reminders of bygone days but the city has transformed with luxury shopping, unique dining, indulgent spas and electric nightlife. The National Museum with its Angkor-era treasures is a short walk away, and the Royal Palace is just visible from your room. The Quay Boutique Hotel can arrange guided tours.
One More Thing At the end of the Cambodian war, a British lawyer named Steve Hayward saw a business opportunity. He found a place on the riverfront at Sisowath Quay and turned it into a bar. Expats flocked in and so did foreign journalists in search of stories and leisure. And soon it was known as the Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC). Its next adventure is ‘The Quay’, that enjoys the same central location, which is within walking distance of the city’s highlights.

Getting there There are no direct flights to Cambodia from the UK, but good connections are available from major Asian destinations. You can fly with Thai Airways to Bangkok and from there fly either to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap on a one-hour flight. The Quay Boutique Hotel is 20-minute drive from Phnom Penh airport.
When to go Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season from November to April. In May and June the southwestern monsoon brings rain that lasts until October but it rarely rains all day. Although, this is a low season for tourism, it has its own advantages. It is when the Angkor complex is at its most beautiful, the vegetation is lush, the moats for full of water and there are less tourists so you can explore the temples in peace.
