Dine There are two restaurants at the Anantara Angkor Resort. The signature restaurant, Chi, serves exciting pan-Asian specialities where Khmer set menus are served in the courtyard accompanied by an Apsara dance performance. The L Lounge is more casual, with a cafe style atmosphere and serves snacks and comfort food during the day. To celebrate romance, Dining by Design delights with a choice of connoisseur menus, a personal chef and butler.

Relax The central courtyard at the Anantara Angkor Resort is dominated by an 18-metre saltwater pool, perfect to relax after your day’s excursion. For ultimate relaxation, head to the Anantara spa for one of their heavenly signature treatments, including the 90 minutes traditional Khmer massage that uses no oil, only the body's ability to moisturise itself. There are five treatment rooms, a wet room, a steam room and a hot tub and if you can still make it, there is a well-equipped gym.

Experience Anantara Angkor Resort is located close to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries. Guests spend their day exploring the ruins beginning with Angkor Wat, the main temple. There are also smaller temples in the surrounds that can be visited on complimentary bicycles or tuk tuk rides if you want to explore afield. Perhaps, the most magical experience is to see the temples from the air, either on a helicopter or Hot Air Balloon.

Getting there 11-hour flight to Bangkok followed by a further 1-hour flight to Siem Reap. The Anantara Angkor is a 10 minute drive from the aiport.

When to go Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.
