Six Senses Bhutan is opening five individual satellite resorts in five separate locations; Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, Bumthang and Paro. All the lodges are under the umbrella of one all-encompassing name: Six Senses Bhutan with a view to offer five unique experiences crafted into one enchanted journey through the Kingdom. Opening in Spring 2018, it will raise the luxury bar, for an exceptional experience in the colourful Kingdom known as the Happiest Place on Earth.
There are only be 82 guest suites divided between all five Six Senses Bhutan lodges. All the lodges are set in beautiful locations to offer exceptional views of the valley, especially the lodge in Punakha which is located overlooking the Mo Chu River. The Paro lodge will have sweeping views over the Paro valley and Gangtey lodge has a special enclosure to watch black-necked cranes that seasonally visit the Phobjika Valley. All rooms are spacious and fitted with all the modern facilities.
All the Six Senses Bhutan lodges are unique, each inspired by local architecture and the environment. All rooms and public spaces are carefully set to take the best advantage of the surrounding views and snow-capped mountains. For relaxation, there are heated infinity pools rising above verdant paddy-fields with wide vistas of the valley. When to go In the western, central and eastern Bhutan you will mostly experience cold European-like weather. Winter lasts here from November to March. The Monsoon occurs between June and August when the temperature is normally between 8° and 21°C. October and November are arguably the best months, when the monsoon has passed and the skies are clear. The spring months of March, April and May are best for the flora, but it can be stormy as the monsoon builds up for July-September.
