Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa is an eco-friendly property, set above the Paro valley in typical Bhutanese architecture and style. Naksel is a community-based project in collaboration with the nearby Ngoba village whose agro-based economy focusses on apple orchards, rice paddies and potato fields. Surrounded by pine-forested mountains and stunning views of the snow-capped mountains, including Mt Jumolhari (7,300m), it offers a great base to relax and explore the valley.
Built in traditional architecture Naksel Boutique Hotel offers 38 guest rooms with modern facilities. All rooms have polished wooden floors, spread with hand-woven local carpets with comfortable sofas set near large traditional windows offering stunning views of the Paro valley. The main house contains the main communal areas such as the restaurant and bar, and also some of the rooms. The rest of the rooms are housed in four cottages in the hotel grounds.
The in-house Olive Restaurant at the Naksel Boutique Hotel serves a range of Bhutanese, Indian and Western cuisine. Meals are generally served buffet style with options for an a la carte menu. There is also Chabchu Bar serving a range of local and international beverages and Coffee House that is open all day. In the surrounds are many options for trekking to the remote monasteries including the famous Taksang Gompa. Back at the hotel, you can relax in the Menchu Himalayan Herbal Spa.
