KRI ISLAND
Begin your Indonesian adventure in Sorong, where you will embark on a private Indonesian-style schooner to explore the Dampier Strait. Your first destination is Kri Island, a serene paradise with few inhabitants and spectacular diving opportunities. Unwind on pristine white sand beaches and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters, rich with vibrant marine life. As the day comes to a close, enjoy the tranquillity of the sea, with the gentle sound of waves lapping against your boat, lulling you to sleep.

Awaken surrounded by one of the world’s richest coral reefs at Gam Island. Spend your morning snorkelling, immersing yourself in the underwater world teeming with exotic marine species. In the afternoon, explore the island’s quaint villages, meet friendly locals, and savour a freshly caught and locally prepared fish meal. The day offers a perfect blend of adventure and cultural immersion, set against the backdrop of stunning natural beauty.

GAM
Embark on a thrilling quest to spot the Red Bird-of-paradise, one of the world's most beautiful and elusive birds. Venture deep into the lush forests of Gam, guided by the sounds of nature, in hopes of witnessing this rare bird. After the day's exploration, relax aboard your schooner as it sets sail for Pulau Kofiau during an overnight journey. Embrace the serene beauty of the night at sea, under the star-filled sky.
DAY 4
BOO ISLAND
Begin your day as the schooner anchors near the quaint village of Deer on Pulau Kofiau Island. Embark on a dinghy exploration of the pristine waters, marvelling at the underwater vistas visible through the crystal-clear sea. In the afternoon, set sail for the serene Boo Islands. These uninhabited gems are a haven for lush vegetation and abundant birdlife. Anchor in the tranquil lagoon of Boo Kecil and immerse yourself in an underwater paradise, snorkelling among vibrant marine life in the lagoon’s warm waters.
DAY 5
DAMAR ISLAND
Spend a leisurely day sailing across the expansive Halmahera Sea. Bask in the warm sun and gentle sea breeze on deck as you journey towards the Damar Islands, arriving just in time for a breathtaking sunset. These tree-covered islands, located southwest of Tanjung Libobo, offer a serene escape. If time allows, visit Kampung Kukupang, the only village on the islands, nestled on the northwestern tip, and experience the simplicity and tranquillity of island life.
DAY 6
BACAN ISLAND
Today's voyage takes you from the Damar Islands to the idyllic Doworas Islands, situated east of the Patientie Strait. Spend a few hours in this secluded paradise, swimming in the turquoise waters and lounging on pristine white sands. In the evening, your journey continues to the port of Babang on Bacan Island's east coast. As you dock for the night, Bacan Island's welcoming harbour offers a peaceful end to another day in this enchanting archipelago.
DAY 7
BACAN ISLAND
Embrace the early hours with a visit to Labau's bustling morning market. Immerse yourself in the vibrant colours and aromas of fresh produce and exotic spices. Capture the lively scene with your camera. Reflect on Bacan's history as a 14th-century sultanate and a pivotal source of cloves. Later, explore the historic Fort Barneveld, a Dutch construct from 1615 guarding the precious spice routes. After this insightful tour, reboard your schooner and set sail for Loid Bay on Bacan Island's north coast, a journey covering 40 miles of serene waters.
DAY 8
BACAN ISLAND
Today's adventure leads you into the heart of Bacan's lush rainforest. Starting from the village of Geti, embark on an early morning trek, keeping an eye out for the elusive black macaque and other endemic wildlife. Discover an array of parrots, cockatoos, and lorikeets populating this biodiverse haven. Visit the quaint village on this lesser-known island and absorb its unique character. As the day winds down, return to your ship to celebrate this memorable crossing, with the island's beauty as your backdrop.
DAY 10
TIDORE
Embark on a journey into Tidore's rich historical tapestry. Tidore's Sultanate, once embroiled in epic battles with neighbouring Ternate, offers tales of intrigue and power struggles. Explore the remnants of Portuguese fortifications, silent witnesses to the island's tumultuous past. Visit the local museum to marvel at regal artefacts, including the Sultan’s crown, which speak volumes of the island's royal heritage. As evening falls, enjoy a final, breathtaking sunset from the comfort of your schooner, reflecting on the adventure that has unfolded.

TERNATE - DEPARTURE
Your expedition concludes as you dock at Ternate. Take a moment to bid farewell to the captain and crew who have guided you through this unforgettable journey. Alternatively, if it's time to head home, proceed to Ternate’s airport for your onward journey, carrying with you a treasure trove of memories from this Indonesian odyssey.
