Begin your three-day journey towards the mystical Mount Kailash, with the first stop in Saga. The drive to this secluded mountain town unfolds across some of Tibet's most untouched landscapes, offering several opportunities to marvel at the natural beauty. After an eight-hour journey, you'll arrive in Saga, where you'll check into a guest house and enjoy a local dinner, a moment to relax and reflect on the journey thus far.
Continue your expedition to Paryang, a remote town set at an elevation of about 15,000 feet, making it one of the highest habitable places on Earth. The journey to Paryang is a captivating drive through dramatic Himalayan valleys and stunning landscapes. Upon arrival, settle into a guest house and spend the evening enjoying dinner and the serene surroundings, preparing for the final leg of your journey to Lake Mansarovar.
The journey concludes at the breathtaking Lake Mansarovar, a sacred body of water revered in several religious traditions. The drive from Paryang offers endless opportunities to witness the majestic beauty of the Himalayas, with stops for lunch and scenic views. Arrive at your guesthouse near the lake in the evening, where a delightful dinner awaits, allowing you to reflect on the spiritual significance and natural splendour of your destination.
Embark on the first day of your trek around the sacred Mount Kailash, an opportunity to immerse yourself in the spiritual essence of this revered peak. The trek to Dirapuk is designed as a gentle introduction to the pilgrimage, covering eight to nine hours of manageable terrain. The second day of trekking intensifies as you ascend to the Drolma-La Pass, the highest point of the pilgrimage, around midday. Journey to the remote Guge Kingdom in Ngari, a seven-hour drive into one of Tibet's most ancient and sacred regions.
