Your journey commences in Baku, Azerbaijan's bustling capital, gracing the shores of the Caspian Sea. After a VIP reception at the airport, complete with lounge access during immigration and customs checks, you’ll be greeted by your personal guide and driver. A luxurious car awaits to transfer you to your hotel. Check in and spend the evening at your leisure, acclimatising to the vibrant energy of this Eastern metropolis.

Exploring Baku's Old City. Immerse yourself in the historical heart of Baku with a guided walk through the medieval Inner City, Icheri Cheher, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Traverse its narrow streets lined with age-old caravanserais, hammams, and mosques. Marvel at the ancient Maiden Tower and the majestic Shirvanshah’s Palace, architectural jewels of Azerbaijan. The day culminates with a visit to the Azerbaijani Carpet Museum, showcasing the country's rich tapestry heritage, a unique art form passed down through generations.

Baku

Fire Temples and Nobel Legacy in Baku. Venture to the Absheron Peninsula to witness the revered Ateshgah Fire Temple, a historical site of Zoroastrian worship. This area, known for its naturally burning gas outlets, now hosts a temple with an artificial flame. Back in Baku, explore Villa Petrolea, the Nobel brothers' former home and a testament to Azerbaijan's oil legacy. Conclude your day with a tour of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre, an architectural masterpiece by Zaha Hadid, symbolizing Baku's modern vibrance.

DAY 4

Sheki

Journey to Sheki via Shamakhi and Lahij. Depart Baku for Sheki, stopping first in Shamakhi, a city rich in Islamic history, home to the prominent Juma Mosque. Detour through the Greater Caucasus to Lahij, an ancient village famed for its artisanal craftsmanship. Wander its cobblestone streets, observing local artisans and perhaps trying your hand at traditional copper engraving. Conclude your day’s journey in Sheki, a historic town nestled in nature, where you can unwind and reflect on the day's cultural immersion.

Ganja

Exploring Sheki and Ganja. Discover Sheki, an ancient silk trade hub in the Caucasus Mountains, renowned for its picturesque architecture and historical influence. Start at the bustling Sheki Bazaar, followed by the Palace of Sheki Khans, a royal summer residence adorned with exquisite stained glass and unique cooling designs. Visit the historic Sheki caravanserai, now partially a hotel and museum. Journey north to Kish to see the Caucasian Albanian church, one of the oldest in the region, and learn the art of crafting kelagayi silk shawls. Conclude your day by travelling to Ganja for an overnight stay.

DAY 6

Baku

From Ganja to Baku. Explore Ganja, a city rich in history and culture, and the birthplace of the poet Nizami Ganjavi. Visit significant landmarks like the Shah Abbas Mosque, Javadkhan Mausoleum, and Nizami’s Mausoleum, as well as the unique Bottle House, adorned with thousands of glass bottles. After immersing yourself in Ganja's heritage, return to Baku for the evening.

Baku

Gobustan Day Trip and Baku. Take a day trip to Gobustan Historical Reserve, a remarkable site showcasing ancient rock carvings and mud volcanoes. Witness petroglyphs depicting prehistoric life and visit the on-site museum with artefacts from the area. Experience the Gaval Dash, a natural musical stone. After exploring these wonders, return to Baku to enjoy the late afternoon at your leisure, perhaps revisiting the city's modern amenities or its historic Inner City.

DAY 8

BAKU - DEPARTURE

Enjoy your final morning in Baku with a leisurely stroll along Baku Boulevard or a relaxing tea at a local café. A private car will escort you to the airport's VIP terminal, where you can unwind in the lounge, enjoying refreshments while all departure formalities are taken care of. Depart from Azerbaijan with memories of a unique journey through its cultural and historical landscapes.
