DAY 1

Dushanbe

Your adventure begins in Dushanbe, the vibrant heart of Tajikistan. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and take the opportunity to unwind or explore. The city, a treasure trove of Tajik heritage, offers a rich tapestry of palaces, monuments, and museums. Whether you choose to relax or delve into Dushanbe's cultural offerings, your first day sets the stage for the extraordinary journey ahead, filled with exploration and discovery.

DAY 2

CHURKURAK LAKE

Depart Dushanbe early, venturing into the mountains via the scenic Anzob pass towards Artuch, the starting point of your trek. The day's hike around Chukurak Lake immerses you in pristine natural beauty. The crystal-clear waters provide a serene backdrop for camping. Enjoy a picnic meal around the campfire, sharing stories with fellow adventurers under the starlit sky, marking the beginning of your wilderness exploration.

DAY 3

BIBIJANNAT LAKE

Awake to the tranquillity of the outdoors and begin your ascent towards Chukurak Pass. The journey through shepherd's meadows offers a unique opportunity to engage with locals and taste traditional sheep's milk, overlooking the majestic Kulikalon lakes. The descent into the valley culminates beside Lake Bibijannat, where you'll camp for the night, reflecting on the day's five-mile trek and the breathtaking vistas encountered.

DAY 4

ALAUDIN LAKE

The adventure continues with a seven-hour hike, traversing juniper forests alive with bird song and alpine fields adorned with rare wildflowers. The view from Aludin Pass is a rewarding panorama of towering peaks and vibrant emerald lakes below. Descend into the valley to find repose in a homestay, offering a peaceful end to a day filled with natural wonders and hiking challenges.

DAY 5

MOUTNOYE LAKE

Today's journey to Lake Mutnoye promises a leisurely trek through birch groves and juniper forests, over gorges, and past meadows of grazing sheep. The path leads to the serene lakeside, where tents will be pitched for the night. This day offers a chance to soak in the tranquillity of Tajikistan's landscapes, providing a moment to reflect on the journey thus far.

DAY 6

CHIMTARGA PASS

Fuel up with breakfast before embarking on an ascent to nearly 15,000 feet. The trek through moraines and across glittering glaciers offers breathtaking views that reward the effort. After five hours of hiking, the evening camp provides a much-needed respite, allowing time to bask in the day's accomplishments and the natural beauty that surrounds you.

DAY 7

ZINDON GORGE

Begin the day with an early climb from Chimtarga Pass to Energya Peak, reaching over 16,400 feet. The descent into Zindon Gorge traverses both rocky and grassy terrains, challenging yet invigorating. After seven hours and traversing more than six miles, the camp in the gorge offers a welcome rest, encapsulating a day of highs and lows amidst the unparalleled beauty of the Pamirs.

DAY 8

MIRALI PASS BASE

Start your day with a nourishing breakfast at camp, preparing for an ascent to the base of Mirali Pass, sitting at 15,700 feet. The trek spans nearly three miles across challenging terrains, including slopes of scree and rocky outcrops. Upon arrival, set up camp amidst the rugged beauty of the mountains, a serene spot offering spectacular views and a peaceful night under the stars, ready for tomorrow's climb.

DAY 9

CHIMTARGA PEAK

Awaken early for a day filled with adventure and challenge. The climb to Mirali Pass involves a technical ascent, with the group roped together and equipped with crampons for navigating the icy, rocky ridge. The journey doesn't end at the pass; it's another 1,640 feet up to reach Chimtarga Peak, the pinnacle of the Fann mountains. From the summit, the panoramic views of the entire range are breathtaking, making the descent back to camp a rewarding conclusion to a demanding day.

DAY 10

BOLSHOYE LAKE

Should weather permit, seize this bonus day for a leisurely hike to Bolshoye Lake, nestled among the Allo lakes, at the base of Moscow Peak. Here, the opportunity to swim in the lake's crystal-clear waters offers a refreshing respite from the trek's rigors, surrounded by the serene beauty of the high-altitude landscape.

DAY 11

BIG ALLO LAKE

Embark on a descent from Zindon Gorge and traverse the 'Garden of Stones', a mesmerizing rocky field adorned with oddly shaped stones. This natural marvel leads to Big Allo Lake, one of the Fann mountains' most picturesque locales. Camp overnight among fir trees by the lake, immersing yourself in the tranquillity of this stunning setting.

DAY 12

ZIMTUT VILLAGE

The journey from Big Allo Lake to Zimtut village begins with breakfast by the lake, followed by a descent to where the Archimaydan and Amshut rivers converge. The drive into Zimtut introduces you to local families offering hospitality to hikers. Explore the village or rest before enjoying a farewell dinner, celebrating the expedition's conclusion.

DAY 13

KHUDJAND

Though the hiking portion of your adventure has concluded, the scenic beauty continues. Relax during the drive through the countryside, passing through the Shakhristan Pass and the town of Istaravshan, en route to Khujand. Check into a comfortable hotel and take the time to explore this picturesque city, soaking in its rich history and charm.

DAY 14

KHUDJAND - DEPARTURE

Your final day begins with breakfast in Khudjand before crossing the border into Uzbekistan, arriving in historic Tashkent. After checking into your hotel, embark on a tour of Tashkent's fascinating monuments and sites. The journey concludes with a final dinner, marking the end of an unforgettable trek through the Pamirs and a last night before your onward journey.
