When to go December to March is the ideal time to visit Jose Ignacio in Uruguay. The very popular peak summer season from Christmas to mid-February gets booked up well in advance so best to plan early. During this period the whole place comes alive and there is a great party atmosphere. It is worth bearing in mind however that during the quieter season - including November, many of the area's bars and restaurants are closed which does tend to restrict eating options to your hotel. Bahia Vik closes each year from May to end of October.
