Getting There The easiest way to get to Belize from the UK is via the US. Gateway cities include Miami, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Newark. Some flights may involve a night stopover in US on the outbound journey while the return journeys to the UK involve a connecting overnight flight. Flying via Miami is the shortest, approx. 9 hours from Heathrow and approx. 2 hours onward flight from Miami to Belize City. Belize can be easily connected with Guatemala or Cancun in Mexico.

When to go Belize enjoys a subtropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. November through April (Dry) is the best time to visit Belize when the days and nights are cooler. In the tropics, it is not unusual to have rain in the dry season - it just falls in shorter spurts. April and May (Dry) could be your second choice to visit Belize, as it's drier and water visibility is excellent. June through November (Wet) experience sporadic downpours that occur without warning and gets intense between August and October.
