Little Mombo Camp

Little Mombo Camp is situated on Mombo Island, adjoining the northern tip of Chief's Island. It lies within the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta, northern Botswana. It is a smaller and more intimate camp than its sister, Mombo Camp, to which it is connected via a raised walkway. This area is also marked for low intensity safari usage, making both Mombo and Little Mombo Camp incredibly exclusive and remote.

Renowned as one of the best game areas in Africa, the Little Mombo Camp is a predator haven with frequent excellent sightings of Lion and Leopard. Wild Dog can be seen and inter-predator interaction is a feature. Plains game is prolific – Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Giraffe and all the Delta Antelopes are present in numbers. Year-round birding is superb.

Activities at the Little Mombo Camp include morning and afternoon game drives on open 4x4s vehicles. Between March and May, when the waters come, large mammals move into the Chief's Island area. By September and October, the waters start to recede and leave behind vast floodplains of short, green grass when the islands are at their driest. This is the secret to the amazing diversity of wildlife in the Mombo region.
